The filtration can also be used with salt water. Silica sand, which is stored in a filter container, serves as a filter medium. The characteristic of silica sand is that it is sharp-edged. Its grains have more sharply cut edges than other types of sand, thanks to which it captures significantly more dirt. The pool water passes through the sand in the filter container, even the smallest impurities are caught in the sand and crystal clear water returns to the pool. It's essentially the same principle that filters water in nature. To ensure high quality filtering, we recommend flushing the sand twice a month.
